Java Edition or Bedrock Edition?
Both. The plans are the same for either edition: what decides the size is how many players you expect and how many plugins or mods you run.
How much memory do I need?
As a guide: 2 GB for vanilla with a few friends, 4 GB for Paper with plugins and about 10 players, 6 GB for about 20 players, 8 GB for light modpacks or a busy survival server, 12 to 16 GB for mid-size and large modpacks, and 24 to 32 GB for heavy modpacks and networks. Mods take far more memory than players do, so size for the modpack first.
Which location should I choose?
The one closest to most of your players. Distance adds delay to every block placed and every hit, so a server in Delhi suits players in India and nearby, Germany suits Europe and Miami suits the Americas.
Why does the processor matter?
Minecraft runs its main game loop on a single thread, so the speed of one core decides how well a busy world keeps up its 20 ticks a second. Each location lists its processor, so you can compare them before you order.
Is there an uptime guarantee?
Yes. The SLA covers every paid plan, with a target of 99.9% availability each month and one free day added for every 2 hours of downtime. It covers our platform, not crashes caused by mods or plugins, or Minecraft sign-in being down.
