What to include
A message with these details can usually be answered in one reply, without a round of questions first.
- Plans and pricing
- What you plan to run, roughly how busy it gets and the region you want. That is enough for us to say whether a VPS or a VDS suits it, and which plan.
- Register interest
- The product, the region, how many servers and roughly when you would want them. Interest shapes which locations and configurations come first.
- Billing
- The email address on your account and the invoice number. Never send card details by message or email.
- Technical question
- The server’s hostname or IP address, what you expected, what happened instead, and any error message exactly as it was shown.
- Report abuse
- The IP address involved, timestamps with time zone, and log excerpts or headers that show the activity. The Acceptable Use Policy says what we act on.
