About Rackyard

A new company

Rackyard is an infrastructure company at the start of its life. We sell virtual servers, Minecraft servers and Discord bot hosting, with dedicated hardware to follow, and we would rather earn a reputation than claim one.

Why we started

Buying a server is harder than it should be. Plans are sold on core counts that mean different things at different hosts, the hardware underneath is rarely named, and the terms that matter most (refunds, renewals, what happens in an outage) are the hardest to find.

We want to run the kind of provider we would choose ourselves: strong performance for the specification, stable infrastructure, honest communication when something goes wrong, and prices that make sense over years rather than for the first month.

We are early. You will not find customer counts, awards or borrowed logos on this site, because we do not have them yet. What we can offer instead is a clear specification for everything we sell, and the commitments below.

What we commit to

The standards we want to be judged by.
  1. Specifications you can check

Every plan states its processor model, memory and storage, not just a core count. What the page lists is what your server gets.

  2. Shared or dedicated, labelled

VPS plans share processor time; VDS plans reserve cores for you. Each plan says which, so the price difference is easy to understand.

  3. Terms in plain language

Prices, billing cycles, refunds and what happens when you cancel are written down before you pay, in words a person can read.

  4. Incidents reported honestly

When something breaks, we say so: what happened, who was affected and what we changed so it does not happen again.
